Due to time constraints and resources our group began researching other methods of controlling a large number of LEDs. After trawling the internet I discovered the existence of the Arduino Mega. The Mega has 54 I/O pins which should be enough to run a 5×5 grid of LEDs and Earcons. Today in class Mikael pointed us in the direction of Nicholas Ward. Within an hour of us emailing Nicholas he arrived with the Arduino Mega.
